Genuine Matthews-Atlas Down Rods

These drop rods are genuine accessories for use with all Matthews-Atlas fans. Drop rods are often called extension rods or down rods. They are important as they bring the ceiling fan down to the correct height for the correct and most efficient operation which is about a 2ft/0.7m above head height. See the sizing guide to the right.  The length of the drop rod will be determined by the ceiling height and the drop of the fan.   If your ceiling is above 3m/9 ft then the length of drop rod that needs to be added will be whatever is needed to keep the fan at a 3m/9 ft height. If the fan blades are properly balanced then there should be no wobble even with a very long drop rod such as 72″.

Available in textured bronze, brushed nickel,  black or white and in 20″, 30″, 48″, 72″.
